Cuyuna Range Whitetails Chapter empowers youth with specialized firearm donation.

In a boost for local youth outdoor education, Cuyuna Range Whitetails, established in 2001, recently partnered with the CRES Firearm Safety program to enhance accessibility for student trapshooters and hunters going through the Firearm Safety program.

Through this new partnership, Cuyuna Range Whitetails has generously donated two (2) left-handed firearms to the safety program. The donation aims to provide left-handed students with the proper, tailored equipment necessary to train safely and effectively.

For many young shooters, finding left-handed equipment can be a significant hurdle. Standard right-handed firearms eject shells across a left-handed shooter's line of sight and feature controls that are difficult to operate safely from the opposite side. This donation directly addresses that challenge, ensuring all students have an equal opportunity to learn.

The CRES Firearm Safety program instructors expressed deep gratitude for the donation, noting that having these dedicated left-handed firearms will immediately improve the training experience for upcoming classes.

To help make donations like this possible, the Cuyuna Range Whitetails is holding a gun bingo at the Aitkin Moose Lodge on August 29th, starting at 3:00.
